Camping Info released!

NEWS PART 1!!!

Finally I have some news for you all!

Our overnight stop for the GBC will be in Lodgepole, AB, at the Community Hall!

We are renting the area, but will be camping outside the hall. As long as there is no fire ban, Fire pits are available on site, as well as picnic tables and horseshoe pits. We will be shipping in porta potties from Drayton Valley to help cover the large group we will have.

The Owners of the General Store, Emily and Ray, have thrown their support behind the event, even bringing it up for a town meeting, and the whole place has really embraced us! They’ve volunteered to stock up their store and keep it open late just for us, so be sure to stop in and support them! (Will likely be a checkpoint anyway 😉)

In addition, they’ve volunteered to host us a full Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning!! Cost will be $10/plate, so bring cash! Supper on Saturday night I would recommend bringing camp food, eating ahead of time, or if in need, Drayton Valley is about 25mins up the road.

The cost for camping has been able to remain low as well, only $10 per team! I’ll begin collecting camping money in June, after entries and entry fees are finalized.
